Food Group Sorting Game: ‘All About 8’

About This Primary Resource

A fun and engaging game designed to help familiarise children with different food items and food groups as well as build an awareness of the different ways that the number 8 can be formulated. The aim of the game is to collect 8 cards from the food group shown on their board by taking turns to spin the spinner. To complete their board they must spin a combination of numbers that totals exactly 8. So for example, if the spinner lands on 4 and then 3 the player would need it to eventually land on 1 in order to complete the board. If it landed on any other number they would have to try again on their next turn.
