Pirate Maths Game: ‘All About 8’
About This Primary Resource
A maths pirate game designed to help children develop an awareness of the different ways that the number 8 can be formulated.
Players must spin the spinner with the aim of collecting 8 pirate cards from the category on their board. To complete their board they must spin a combination of numbers that totals exactly 8. So for example, if the spinner lands on 3 and then on their next turn it lands on 4, the player would need it to eventually land on 1 in order to complete the board. If it landed on any other number they would have to try again on their next turn.
We also have versions of this game where the objective is to collect either 6 or 10 cards.
