Lessons from Africa 7: Where Does Our Food Really Come From?
About This Primary Resource
This lesson plan focuses on where our food actually comes from and how many miles it travels to reach us. This resources uses the example of a 4 year old boy African boy called Mpho who grows all his food in his garden, this gives the backdrop for a discussion with your pupils about where they think their food is grown.
This resource has been kindly shared with us by Lessons from Africa, which is the education programme run by the charity Send a Cow. For 25 years Send a Cow have been helping thousands of African families and orphans grow enough food to eat, sell their produce and develop small businesses that last.
