About This Primary Resource
A red envelope template ideal for Chinese New Year activities during the Year of the Monkey (2016). Simply, print, cut and assemble to create an envelope (known as hóng bāo in Mandarin) traditionally used to give a monetary gift during holidays or special occasions. The design features the relevant Mandarin symbols and terminology as well as an image of a monkey. We also have a blank version available to download, enabling children to add their own pictures.
