Starting to Subtract Worksheets
About This Primary Resource
A maths worksheet designed to build and reinforce basic subtraction skills. It asks pupils to do the following:
- Complete the subtraction to find the total. Cross out the fish that are being subtracted.
- Count the fish and then subtract the smallest group from the largest group.
- Look at each group and write the subtraction in the boxes below.
- Show the answer to each subtraction by drawing a line to the correct number of fish.
- Circle the sum in each group that has a different total to the others.
