Under The Sea Colour Sequencing Game
About This Primary Resource
A sequencing and matching game with an 'under the sea' theme. It can be played with multiple players across a variety of age groups but is probably best suited to children over the age of three. it can be a really fun game to play as a family.
Please note, in addition to the download you will also need some wooden or plastic blocks that match the colours on the cards. You could use lego or duplo for this purpose.
- How to play
Print, cut out and shuffle the cards.
Place one card face up in the centre of the table.
Each player must then quickly try to recreate the colour sequence shown in the card - for example blue (whale), red (crab) then green (turtle) using their blocks / lego.
They must also have regard for the alignment of the blocks. In other words they must consider whether the blocks should be stacked or put side by side. This is indicated by the direction of the arrow shown on the cards.
